Description
If you experience chronic migraine symptoms, we might be able to help. Some of these may include:
- Severe headaches;
- Sensitivity to light, noise, or smells;
- Nausea and vomiting;
- Visual disturbances, such as spots or flashing lights;
- Tingling sensations, pins and needles, and weakness or numbness in the limbs.
Botox has been approved for the prophylaxis of headaches in adults with chronic migraine (headaches on at least 15 days per month of which at least 8 days are with migraine) by the MHRA.
By injecting Botox every 12 to 16 weeks, we can temporarily paralyse key muscles in the forehead, neck and shoulders. By reducing the strength of those muscles, Botox can help alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by migraines
