Description
The teeth that grow at the back of your gums, during your teens or early twenties, and are the last teeth to come through are referred to as Wisdom Teeth. Most people have four wisdom teeth – one in each corner. Sometimes, due to their late emergence, there isn’t enough room in your mouth for your wisdom teeth to grow properly. As a result, they can only partially emerge, come out at an angle, or get stuck. Wisdom teeth that grow through like this are known as impacted.
There is nothing to worry about… the removal of wisdom teeth, or third molars, is one of the most common procedures carried out in the UK.
